What is so Special about the Wii Remote Controller?
Welcome to our site. Here you will find everything you need to know about the Nintendo Wii and its very unique controller. The Nintendo Wii controller is definitely unlike any other controller on the market.
What makes the Wii controller different?
So, the Nintendo Wii’s controller is completely wireless. Yes, a lot of controllers are becoming wireless. But, the Wii’s controller does not offer any cords to plug it into the console. That’s right, not a single cord. Ok, so that isn’t that great to you. What if I told you that the controller has a motion sensor in it? Yes, it is COMPLETELY based on motion sensors.
How does the Wii controller work?
So, you know its wireless and it has a motion sensor, but that’s not enough for you. You want to know how it works too? Well, I understand. This little remote controller stays in your hand and there is a little sensor ball that is inside the controller. When you move your hand, the ball moves and tells the game system what you are doing.
One more reason the Wii controller is great …
One more reason, huh? Well, with the Nintendo Wii controller, you don’t just sit around and twiddle your thumbs. That is right, you have to find a different way to strengthen those thumb muscles. With the Wii controller being motion sensored, it encourages you to actually get up off the couch and move. Swing those arms, twist your body and move those feet.
You know how when you were younger, you would be playing the Super Nintendo or something. And you would be wanting the car on the game to turn, and you would actually yank your arms and the controller in the direction you wanted the car to turn. And you would start yelling at the television because the car did not turn. Well, even if you never did yell at the television, I did. But, the point is that with the Wii controller, you can yank your arm to the side when playing a driving game. And, the cool thing is that the car will actually go in the direction you want it to. If you turn it to the left, the car will go to the left. Kind of cool, huh?
Is there anything bad about the Wii controller?
Yes, the first Wii controller is sometimes not very accurate. You could move very slightly and the controller would read it as you moving a lot. But, they have come up with a solution. There is now a little motion sensor you can plug into your Wii remote where the Wii Nunchuck goes, and it will read your movements more accurately.
Now you see the good and the bad of the Nintendo Wii remote controller. Is it superior to the other controllers out on the market? I think so. But, its really something you have to figure out on your own. Trial and error is the best way to know.
